yeezy, its too eaasy!

KANYE WEST
Because, yes, he Kanye. Residence: SoHo, New York City. Occupation: “Ripping stages apart!” Age: 31. Personal style: “I like to have fun and push the boundaries of what everyday outfits should look like.” Favorite fashion purchase of 2008: “A special-order red Epi leather Christopher backpack from Louis Vuitton.” Most frequently worn item: “My bape camo boxers.” Dress up or dress down: “It’s way harder to dress down than to dress up. Casual is the true test of an outfit master. Old men dress the best. They’ll just be sitting in the park with a Missoni sweater, some tonal khakis, and some New Balance sneakers, and you’re like, Damn, that outfit is perfect.” Sunglasses: “L.V. Millionaires. The best of this century so far.” Watch: Casio G-Shock. Cause: Education—the Dr. Donda West Foundation. By Andreas Branch/PatrickMcMullan.com.

new day

Havent updated in a while. Things that have been in my brain since last time:
I want a chocolate lab named Magwitch, thank you Charles Dickens. I phrase words in a British tone without even knowing it, for example, "did you really?".
Camille is the funniest person I have ever met. Even 10 years later. Don't believe me? We're trying to park, and theres a sign that says "parking for expectant mothers only" and she stares at the sign for a second and says..."well they dont know if I'm pregnant or not I could be!" hahahahha. I also like whiskey alot.

peace. gotta get kait from the airport in the mornin!

Rih Rih style

No matter what she does, this girl always gets it right.

S&TC

This movie, aside from The Devil Wears Prada, had the best costume designer I have ever seen. Every outfit was right on, random pieces of every outfit made the styles look brand new.

^the belt that was used so much

^tall socks showed up alot

^the dior gladiator shoes! (seen in two colors)

^the fur she wears here is amazing

^samantha's boots!

^ it was interesting to see how the costume designers thought younger girls in 2008 living the "carrie" life would dress.

^my favorite socks

^this dress was an icon for the movie for sure

^the gladiator shoes! and BIG!

^the wedding scene was perfect, everyones dresses popped, and another pair of dior gladiator shoes were used and spray painted for this scene

just do it

they say she goin crazy, and we seen this before.

"The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from losing my mind in a bad way. Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good..... good as finding the perfect fabric for a simple one button casual blazer with matching pants." - Yeezy.
I really couldn't explain what it's been like for me lately better than that ^

The finished set at Glow in the Dark

The sketches for the stage Ye did in his dining room two months previous to the tour

The design board for the tour...design boards are something I have always done without knowing they were an actual tool in the graphic design world....and before my roommate moves in on Saturday (GAG ME) I have to take down all the scraps and things off the design board I've made out of the other wall.

If you haven't already, get Ye's book. If you went to Glow in the Dark they gave them away free :) but of course I left mine in Austin. Boo.

I know it's hard to believe, but there's STILL MORE COMIN!

Shit it has been forever since I posted. I've had so much material that i've been workin with but it's hard to put it all in one post. I'll try to break it up into a couple.... SO this is what's been goin on in my head, it's all gold:

Of course. I had to mention Ye and all the shit he's been doin, even if thats all I seem to post about....Listening event in L.A. with Vanessa Beecroft:

Vanessa's work is really innovative and Ye never seems to run out of shit to do.

For some reason his arrogance makes me feel what hes gotta say even more.

From "Last Call"

I was figuring I was gonna do some more work
But shit just went poppin off like that. I was stayin in Chicago
I had my own apartment. I be doin' like, just beats for local acts
just to try to keep the lights on

more:

I just needed some fresh air, you know what I'm
sayin, 'cause I been there for a while, I appreciated what they did
for me, but, you know there's a time in every man's life where he
gotta make a change, try to move up to the next level. And that day I
came and I tracked the beat and I got to meet Jay-Z and he said, "oh
you a real soulful dude"

and more:

You can't say shit to Kanye West no more
I rocked 20,000 people, I was just on tour, nigga
I'm Kan, the Louis Vuitton Don
Bought my mom a purse, now she Louis Vuitton Mom
I ain't play the hand I was dealt, I changed my cards
I prayed to the skies and I changed my stars
I went to the malls and I balled too hard
'Oh my god, is that a Black Card?'

Lately I've been listenin to alot of Talib Kweli and The Roots, but Kweli has been on my mac goin so hard

"My relationship with Kweli I think was one of the best ones to ever happen to my career as a rapper. Because, you know, of course later he allowed me
to go on tour with him. Man, I appre-- I love him for that."

shit. i gotta go to sleep now.
